The mystery buyer dug deep for the Vivienne Westwood outfit – described as a 'beautifully flowing deep-red number'.
Kate Winslet said: 'I hope the winning bidder enjoys wearing it as much as I did.' The auction was in aid of Cardboard Citizens, a theatre group for homeless people.
